今年五月初,全世界最大的新聞應該是美國在巴基斯坦進行了一場軍事行動,擊斃911恐怖攻擊事件的主謀-奧薩瑪.賓拉登 Osama Bin Laden。
911事件發生在2001年9月11日,已經是十年前的事了!
那一天,美國遭受了前所未有的自殺式恐怖攻擊。四架美國民航客機遭恐怖份子挾持,其中兩架相繼衝撞紐約世貿雙子星大樓,導致兩座摩天大樓起火燃燒,最後終致坍塌全毀,也連帶導致臨近的其他建築被摧毀或損壞。另一架飛機衝撞美國國防部所在的五角大廈(the Pentagon),造成嚴重損壞。第四架則在乘客及機員的反抗下,墜毀在一處鄉下農田裡。
這次事件造成約三千人喪生,其中有近四百位是第一時間趕去滅火及救人的消防隊員及警察。
發生這麼悲慘的事情,總讓人不懂為什麼人與人之間要有這麼多的仇恨與憤怒。
但是這個事件也讓很多人開始思索生命的意義及人生中真正重要的東西是什麼。
很多人開始更珍惜家人與朋友,也更懂得把握當下,努力讓生命活出意義。
很多人開始體認,世界上最珍貴的其實是愛-對自己、對家人、對朋友、對人類、對地球、對世界的。
